Leandro Damiao's agent has confirmed that he held a meeting with members of the AC Milan boardroom.
The 22-year-old has caught the attention of a number of clubs around Europe after scoring 63 goals in 96 games for Internacional.
Damiao, who has scored one goal in nine appearances for Brazil, is believed to have been targeted by Tottenham Hotspur.
However, his agent, Vinicius Prates, has now fuelled talk of a move to the Rossoneri, who see him as a direct replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
"I met Milan board members just to know them," Prates told Terra. "It was the first contact. Let's see if it develops within the next few days."
The six foot one striker joined Internacional from Atletico Ibirama in 2009.
