Roberto Soldado's agent has met Tottenham Hotspur's sporting director Franco Baldini to discuss the Valencia striker's future, according to a report.
Speculation has been rife linking the 28-year-old with a move to White Hart Lane, but Valencia are believed to be holding out for an offer that matches his £26m release clause.
However, Cadena Ser reported earlier today that Baldini had arrived in Valencia to wrap up a deal for the Spain international, while AS have since provided a picture that appears to show Baldini meeting with Soldado's agent Alberto Toldra.
Tottenham's initial offer for Soldado is not believed to have met the minimum release clause, although they are in pole position to sign the striker despite interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool.
Valencia manager Miroslav Djukic has said that he expects Soldado, who has scored six goals in 11 games for the national team, to still be at the club next season.
