Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Internacional striker Leandro Damiao as their number one summer transfer target.
Manager Harry Redknapp is said to have sent chief scout Ian Broomfield to Brazil to compile a final report on the player, with a view to an imminent bid.
Emmanuel Adebayor's loan spell at White Hart Lane has now expired and, although the Togolese striker is expected to depart Manchester City and is hopeful of remaining in North London, Redknapp is wary that Spurs may not be able to afford his wage demands.
Redknapp was also keen on Marseille forward Loic Remy, but the French club are likely to demand a huge fee for the player and the Tottenham boss has now switched his attention to sealing a deal for Damiao, according to The Mirror.
Damiao, who is believed to be available for £15m, has been capped five times by Brazil.
