Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly not prepared to entertain offers for Son Heung-min from the Saudi Pro League during the summer window.

Given the captain's armband by Ange Postecoglou at the beginning of the 2023-24 term, the 31-year-old has taken on more attacking responsibility following the departure of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich.

Son has scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 22 Premier League appearances for the Lilywhites this season, meaning that he leads the club's Golden Boot race ahead of 10-goal forward Richarlison.

The South Korea international has been away for the majority of 2024 at the Asian Cup, where the attacker helped his nation to the semi-final stage before losing to surprise package Jordan.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham will not play up to interest for the services of Son at the conclusion of the current campaign, despite the forward having admirers around the world of football.

The report claims that the former Bayer Leverkusen man and Spurs have already entered informal discussions over a lucrative contract extension in North London.

Son put pen to paper on his most-recent deal in the summer of 2021, committing his future to the Lilywhites until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

It is understood that Spurs - led by chairman Daniel Levy - will move into formal dialogue with the South Korean ahead of the new season over a fresh contract.

Speculation of a new deal for Son arrives in the midst of plenty of interest in the attacker, with clubs from the Saudi Pro League supposedly monitoring the player's situation.

It is believed that Saudi champions Al-Ittihad are keen to sign both Son and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah at the conclusion of the current term.

Marcelo Gallardo's side have recent history of luring European football's best talents to the Middle East, recruiting Karim Benzema from Real Madrid last year.

Since moving to North London from the BayArena in August 2015, Son has netted 157 goals in 395 appearances, making the 31-year-old the third-highest goalscorer in the club's history behind Kane and Jimmy Greaves.

Son made his first Premier League start of the calendar year during the defeat over Wolverhampton Wanderers and he should remain in the XI when Spurs host Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
