How West Ham United could line up against Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole takes a look at how West Ham United could line up in Saturday's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

West Ham United will look to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they welcome bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers collected seven points from their matches against Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United between September 16 and September 29, but suffered a 1-0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break.

Manuel Pellegrini's side will not need much firing up as they prepare to host Tottenham, with much more than points at stake.

West Ham have won three of the last six meetings between the two teams, but suffered a 3-2 defeat to Spurs in the corresponding match last term.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how West Ham could line up in front of their own supporters this weekend.

Out: Winston Reid (knee), Jack Wilshere (ankle), Andy Carroll (ankle), Carlos Sanchez (knee), Manuel Lanzini (knee)
Doubtful: Robert Snodgrass (ankle), Javier Hernandez (illness)

West Ham boss Pellegrini still has a number of injury problems, meaning that the options for change are not exactly plentiful.

In fact, Pellegrini could keep with the same XI that started the defeat to Brighton before the international break, which would leave Declan Rice operating alongside Mark Noble and Pedro Obiang in the middle of the park.

Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko would therefore continue as the support for Marko Arnautovic, who has four Premier League goals to his name this season and is very much the club's talisman.

Michail Antonio's pace could exploit Tottenham's weaknesses, however, and there might well be a role in the team for the Englishman.

Ryan Fredericks started the season as West Ham's first-choice right-back, but Pablo Zabaleta has been impressive in recent weeks and should start, with Arthur Masuaku edging out Aaron Cresswell on the opposite side.
