Lee Westwood stays in contention to win The Masters after a steady round of 70 at Augusta on Saturday.

Lee Westwood has kept himself in contention to win his first Major championship at The Masters after carding a third round 70 to leave himself two-under-par for the tournament.

The man for Worksop got off to a great start with a birdie at the second and bogeyed the seventh before picking up a shot at the ninth.

Two more birdies came for Westwood at 13 and 15 as the Englishman looked set to break 70 and close in on the leaders.

However, the 40-year-old dropped a shot at 17, which meant that he settled for a round of 70 and left himself three strokes behind Jordan Spieth and Bubba Watson.

Elsewhere, Justin Rose carded a 73 to finish the third round at one-under, while Ian Poulter is at level-par after a mixed afternoon at the Augusta National.
