St Helens coach Kieron Cunningham heaps praise on his players following their victory over Widnes Vikings in the Super League.

St Helens coach Kieron Cunningham has claimed that his side were "virtually untouchable" during their win over Widnes Vikings in the Super League.

The Saints moved to the top of the table last night as they recorded a 30-20 victory at the Halton Stadium.

While he admits that his players looked "jaded" during the first half, Cunningham believes that they ran out deserved winners thanks to a dominant second-half performance.

"We looked a bit jaded in the first half but I was immensely pleased with our second-half show. We set high standards at this club and were virtually untouchable at times," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"Atelea Vea was absolutely brilliant and is playing well with Joe Greenwood in the second row. Travis Burns has also fitted into our system really well and all the kids are doing a big job which is promising for the club."

St Helens are back in action on Thursday when they host Warrington Wolves in the league.
