Shaun Murphy produced a rousing comeback to edge past Ali Carter and book his place in the UK Championship final.
Carter led 5-3 after the first session and extended his lead to 8-4 early on Friday in a race to nine frames.
Seemingly dead and buried, Murphy rallied to win five successive frames and make the final in this tournament for the second time.
Murphy recorded crucial breaks of 76, 49 and 39 to pip a dejected Carter and ensure that he will play either Mark Davis or Mark Selby in Sunday's final.
Selby and Davis meet tomorrow to decide who will play Murphy, four years on from his maiden victory over Ding Junhui in York.
