Kei Nishikori has overcome Dusan Lajovic in three sets to reach the third round of the Australian Open.
The Japanese took 50 minutes to wrap up the first two sets by a 6-1 scoreline, but was taken all the way in a third set that lasted an hour.
However, the Serbian could not rouse a comeback, as the 24-year-old won the tie-breaker 7-3 to seal his progress.
The world number 17 will face the winner between Donald Young and Andreas Seppi for a place in the fourth round.
