Karolina Pliskova has dropped just four games on the way to reaching the Elite Trophy Zhuhai final with a last-four win over Elina Svitolina.

The Czech player had never lost to Svitolina in three previous meetings, but Saturday's triumph proved to be her most dominant performance as he secured success by a 6-3 6-1 scoreline.

The world number 13 recorded four breaks of serve during a contest that lasted just 61 minutes.

Pliskova will face Venus Williams in Sunday's final after the American eased to victory against Roberta Vinci.
