Chinu has lost out at the quarter-final stage in the 125kg freestyle at the European Games in Baku.
After winning bronze at last year's Commonwealth Games, the 28-year-old had been hoping to make an impact on the European stage.
However, Ukraine's Oleksandr Khotsianivskyi made the most of his size and weight advantage to nullify Chinu and the bout lasted just 118 seconds.
Khotsianivskyi recorded two four-point holds on the way to 10 technical points, which gave him a 4-0 triumph.
