Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington is approaching full fitness, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Ellington was enjoying an impressive campaign as the team's lead running back in 2014 as he rushed for 660 yards in 12 games and gained 395 yards through the air.
However, a hamstring injury cut short his year and it has plagued him throughout training camp, but he should be back for week one of the new season.
Arians told reporters that the 26-year-old is "real close to being full speed" and could play in their opening pre-season game with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Cardinals open up against the New Orleans Saints on September 13.
