Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco believes that he can continue to play at a high level in the NFL until the age of 40.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has outlined his desire to play in the NFL until the age of 40.

The 30-year-old is coming off one of his best seasons in the league in the 2014 campaign as he guided his side to the divisional round of the playoffs, despite injuries and a lack of depth on the Ravens' roster.

Flacco believes that he is capable of playing at a high level for another 10 years following in the footsteps of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, who are still plying their trade at an elite level late into their thirties.

"I don't feel any worse because of my age yet," Flacco told ESPN. "I'm not going to be 50 [years old] and playing. I hope I'm 40, but 50, no.

"I'm comfortable with what I do in the offseason and who I work with when I'm not around here. And it wasn't like that probably the first two years.

"But ever since then, I'm pretty comfortable and I feel good about it. It's kind of been pretty similar, and I rely on my trainer, and when I come back here I rely on these guys. I think it's working out really well."

Flacco threw for 3,986 yards and 27 touchdowns to 12 interceptions for the Ravens in the 2014 season.
