Kiko Alonso's agent has announced that the player has undergone surgery to repair his torn anterior cruciate ligament.
The Buffalo Bills linebacker sustained the injury during an off-season workout earlier this month, ruling him out of the 2014 NFL season.
Steve Caric wrote on Twitter that Alonso underwent the procedure on Thursday, and that it was a success.
Alonso made 159 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble during the 2013 season, which was his rookie year in the league.
