The Buffalo Bills have announced that they have released quarterback Matt Flynn from their active roster.
The 28-year-old was signed by the Bills last month following an injury to starter EJ Manuel, but he could not force his way into the lineup ahead of Thadeus Lewis.
As a result of Manuel's return to fitness, Flynn has been told that he is surplus to requirements at the club, who replaced him with full back Evan Rodriguez on the roster.
This is the second time a team have released Flynn this season as he was cut by the Oakland Raiders in September.
