Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Byrd is poised to miss the start of the season with a foot injury, according to a report.
Byrd reported late to training camp following a contract dispute with the club after they placed the franchise tag on him.
During training camp, the 27-year-old picked up a plantar fasciitis injury, which is expected to rule him for out for near future, reports NFL.com.
Buffalo open their regular season campaign against the New England Patriots on Sunday.
