Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Richie Incognito has confessed that his year out of the game was a "humbling" experience.
Incognito was embroiled in the notorious bullying scandal in the 2013 season at the Miami Dolphins when it emerged he was harassing teammate Jonathan Martin.
The 31-year-old was suspended following an investigation into the scandal, and when the ban was lifted no team took the option to sign the guard as a free agent.
However, Incognito has now been handed a second chance in the NFL with the Bills for the 2015 season.
He told reporters: "At the end of the day, humbling is the best way to describe the past year for me."
Incognito has played 102 games in the NFL in his 10-year career.
