Mario Williams has said that he is "not worried" about the foot injury that has prevented him from taking part in practice for the last two days.
The defensive end traveled to Carolina to meet with a foot and ankle specialist after suffering from soreness in his left foot.
The 28-year-old told the team's official website: "I'm fine. I'm not worried. I just think it's not that serious. I understand. I appreciate the concern. I'm alright.
"I would love to be out there obviously. But like I said this is a precaution and I'm just following orders."
Head coach Doug Marrone added: "They determined that the best course of action was rest and treatment. Really there's no timetable for his return, but it's day by day. That's where his situation is right now."
Williams made 46 tackles, 10.5 sacks and two forced fumbled for the Bills in 2012.
