The Carolina Panthers have claimed offensive tackle Jonathan Martin off the waiver wire following his release by the San Francisco 49ers.
The 25-year-old was with the 49ers for just one season after the club traded for his services from the Miami Dolphins in the aftermath of the bullying scandal at the AFC East side in the 2013 campaign.
Martin played in 15 matches for Bay Area side last year, but was deemed surplus to requirements by new head coach Jim Tomsula.
However, has been quickly snapped up by the Panthers to provide depth at their tackle position.
The offensive lineman was selected by the Dolphins in the second round of the 2011 Draft.
