Chicago Bears defensive end Jared Allen is determined to prove that he still has a lot to give the club following his below-par performances in the 2014 campaign.
The Bears signed the 32-year-old on a four-year deal before the 2014 season, but Allen struggled to make a significant impact as the NFC North side struggled to a 5-11 record.
However, Allen has insisted that he still has more than enough left in the tank to provide the Bears with a quality pass-rusher.
"I was less anxious and so much more eager to talk to them," he told the Chicago Tribune.
"Just to say, 'Hey guys. I know the film from last year only shows 5.5 sacks. But don't believe that's all I have left. I'm good still. Really."
Allen recorded 56 tackles, 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles for the Bears last season.
