Matt Forte has said that he will play in the Chicago Bears' game against the Detroit Lions today despite carrying an ankle injury.
The running back has sustained several ankle sprains this season, and was left wearing a walking boot after last week's win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Forte told NFL.com: "I know it's gonna hurt, especially when I get tackled, and I'm down in the pile but it'll wear off.
"When I played on it in Dallas and it was hurting, I got hit on it on the first play, and went back and got it retaped. And it was OK from there. You just gotta deal with it. I know what to expect now."
The 27-year-old has been spending time in a hyperbaric chamber this week to help speed up his recovery.
A win over the Lions could help the Bears to a playoff wildcard spot if other results go their way.
