Chicago Bears linebacker Christian Jones, who was signed as an undrafted free agent, has admitted that he is extra-motivated to impress in order to prove the teams who did not take a chance on him wrong.
Jones said that being picked up by the Bears, even if not in the Draft, feels like the right move for him and he is looking forward to showing what he can do.
"It's a lot of motivation," he told the club's official website. "It's the competitive side. You see guys getting drafted above you. Everybody thinks they're better than somebody. But that's how it is.
"It's going to help fuel me, but I believe that things happen for a reason. I really feel like I belong here and I'm just making the best out of this opportunity."
Jones played at college level for the Florida State Seminoles.
