Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer has said that Matt Forte is a "perfect fit" for the team's new offense.
The running back has averaged over 1,000 rushing yards per season since being drafted by the NFC North side in 2008.
Kromer, who joined the Bears earlier this year, told the team's website: "We think Matt is a perfect fit for this offense because not only is he a good runner in the running game, he can catch the ball, he can pass protect, he can split out and play wide receiver. He gives you a lot of options.
"Watching him from afar and watching him up close, you're more impressed when you see him up close but you sure are impressed from afar as well. We've been watching Matt from around the league for years and we expect him to continue at a high level of productivity and we're going to expect it from him."
The Bears play the Cincinnati Bengals in their first game of the 2013 NFL season tomorrow.
