Chicago Bears wide receiver Josh Morgan has been arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor simple assault following an incident in downtown Washington DC.
Morgan was arrested at Cities Restaurant and Lounge in the early hours of Sunday morning after allegedly punching a valet driver in the face.
The 28-year-old, who joined the Bears on a one-year contract from the Washington Redskins earlier this month, denies any wrongdoing and insists that he is "not worried" about the situation.
"I didn't touch him. I didn't do anything. This is crazy. I'm not worried about nothing. I have always been a stand-up guy in the community. Nothing like this has ever happened to me," Morgan told WRC-TV.
Morgan caught 20 passes for a career-low 214 yards last season having led the Redskins with 48 receptions and 510 yards in 2012.
