The Chicago Bears have reportedly decided to bench Jay Cutler for their penultimate game of the 2014 NFL season against the Detroit Lions this weekend.
The starting quarterback has struggled in recent weeks, throwing 18 interceptions and fumbling nine times so far this season to lead the league in turnovers.
According to NFL Media, backup Jimmy Clausen will start against the Bears' NFC North rivals on Sunday, although the team is yet to confirm the switch.
The Bears currently sit bottom in their division with just five wins so far this season.
