The Chicago Bears are expected to meet with Mike Shanahan regarding their search for a new head coach after firing Marc Trestman at the end of the season.
Shanahan has already met with the Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills, and he has now been linked with the Bears post, as reported by NFL Media Insider.
Chicago also fired general manager Phil Emery last week and so no interview with Shanahan is likely to go ahead until a new GM is in place.
However, if Shanahan did join the Bears then it would give him the opportunity to work with quarterback Jay Cutler again after their stint together in Denver.
Cutler's future in Chicago has been questioned but the Bears could hope that a reunion with Shanahan will enable him to find his form.
