Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown has revealed that quarterback Andy Dalton could get a contract similar to Colin Kaepernick's new deal, with more bonuses than guarantees.
Brown is hopeful that an agreement can be reached "soon enough", but he is also not ruling out the possibility of using the franchise tag in 2015 if no deal can be agreed.
However, it is reported that unless Dalton can prove that he has the ability to make the difference in the post-season, then Brown will likely be reluctant in awarding him guarantees, NFL.com reports.
With Jay Cutler also receiving a significant new contract from the Chicago Bears this off-season, Dalton is said to want to be paid like the face of the franchise.
