Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis has revealed that the team hit rock bottom after their blowout loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 10.
Lewis insisted that the team needed to play with more consistency and he will look to ensure that the Bengals build on their win over the New Orleans Saints last week.
"Sometimes you gotta hit rock bottom before you can go all the way back up to the top, and we certainly were at rock bottom a few weeks ago on Thursday night," Lewis told the media.
The Bengals coach also defended quarterback Andy Dalton after he bounced back last week and improved his passer rating from 2.0 in Week 10 to a career-high 143.9 in Week 11.
Cincinnati are currently top of the AFC North with a record of 6-3-1, although all four teams in the division have a winning record.
