Mohamed Sanu will undergo surgery tomorrow after sustaining a stress fracture in practice earlier this week.
The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver is likely to miss the rest of the regular season with the injury, believed to be to his fifth metatarsal.
Head coach Marvin Lewis told the franchise's website: "He's had two good weeks of practice. This week was better than last week.
"It's the first time we had all three guys, Marvin [Jones] and Andrew [Hawkins] running and playing with confidence yesterday. For about an hour.
"It's another weird thing we've had this year, unfortunately."
The rookie has caught four touchdown passes in his last three games.
