Cleveland Browns cornerback Justin Gilbert has conceded that that he has made a lot of mistakes in his rookie season in the NFL.
The Browns selected the 23-year-old with the eighth overall pick in the 2014 Draft, but Gilbert struggled to break into the starting defense due to problems on and off the field.
The cornerback's struggles prompted criticism from his teammates and coaches, and he has admitted that he is determined to get on the right track for next season.
He told reporters: "I will work a lot harder. That's one promise I can make. I will be great. I messed up. [It is a] minor setback for a major comeback."
Gilbert has recorded 29 tackles and one interception for the Browns this season.
