Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden has admitted his delight at signing his new contract.
Haden was entering the final year of his rookie deal with the Browns until yesterday, when he signed a lucrative five-year extension.
Upon completion of the deal, the 24-year-old told reporters that he believes success is just around the corner for his team.
Haden told reporters: "I love Cleveland, man. I really like it here. I enjoy it here. The fans are great. I never want to just bail out on anything. They drafted me and I started here.
"And the fanbase is one big part. The way they feel about the team and the Browns, I feel like if we can really start winning, there is no other place I'd rather play.
"This contract only makes me feel like now I have to play like the best corner in the league. Once you get a contract, then it seems everybody knows what's going on, but I put myself there the whole time."
Haden's contract will run through to 2019 and is worth $68m (£40.4m), including $45m (£26.8m) guaranteed.
