Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles has reportedly withdrawn himself to become the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
The 50-year-old interviewed for the post after the Browns fired Rob Chudzinski following just one season with the club as he led them to a 4-12 record in the AFC North.
However, Fox Sports reports that Bowles has now taken himself out of the running for the position, leaving the club short on options after Josh McDaniels stayed with the New England Patriots and Ken Whisenhunt joined the Tennessee Titans.
The Browns still hope to interview Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase but will have to wait until his side's season is over.
