Cleveland Browns defensive line coach Anthony Weaver has said that Danny Shelton could become a three-down player.
Shelton's physique carries all of the attributes applicable for a standard three-four nose tackle, but Weaver has stated that the 21-year-old could be deployed in a more dynamic defensive setup.
"I think he has all the potential in the world to be a three-down player," the coach told the Akron Beacon Journal.
"The way he can collapse the pocket in pass rush will make more success for our edge [rushers]. He plays the game with a type of energy that you just can't fake."
Shelton joined Cleveland as the 12th overall pick in the first round of the 2015 Draft earlier this year.
