The Pittsburgh Steelers comfortably see off the Cleveland Browns to pick up their fifth win of the season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have improved to beat the Cleveland Browns 27-11 at the FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Steelers made steady progress with their first drive having started on their own 26.

Le'Veon Bell was making good inroads with his running game and made a couple of productive early carries.

Following a Ben Roethlisberger pass for 12 yards to Heath Miller, they were in range of a field goal but could not take advantage by converting it into a touchdown.

After a nearly five-minute drive, Shaun Suisham kicked a field goal from 47 yards to get the first points of the game.

The Browns made quick inroads with their first drive, as Jason Campbell threw a 24-yard pass to Josh Gordon.

The drive slowed down at that point but with a 49-yard effort Billy Cundiff was able to kick between the posts to level the scores at 3-3.

In the second quarter it was tight, but the difference was Roethlisberger, who threw a good pass to Antonio Brown, who finished brilliantly between the defence, before a late kick by Suisham extended their advantage.

Perhaps the decisive moment of the game came midway into the third quarter. Jason Campbell was sacked hard and was hurt, but the fumble was picked up by Will Allen, who was tackled four yards shy of the end zone.

It took just one play for Roethlisberger to find Emmanuel Sanders for the four-yard touchdown that took his side into a three-score lead.

It was all too easy for the Steelers as Campbell's replacement Brandon Weeden threw an interception that William Gay picked off and ran for a 21-yard touchdown.

A late rally from the Browns, in which Weeden passed short to Gordon for a touchdown before succeeding with a two-point conversion, was not enough and the score remained comfortable for the Steelers.
