Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has revealed that his off-season workouts with teammate Jason Witten have been vital to his durability at the start of the campaign.
Murray has rushed for 913 yards on 187 attempts this season, which is 298 yards more than his nearest rival, and he has credited his teammate for aiding his successful start to the year.
"It helped a lot, obviously with the stamina aspect just building a good armour for your body so you can take some hits and take the pounding of a long season," Murray told the Star-Telegram.
"He's done it for a long time, and he's someone who has had a lot of success in this league, and he knows what to do to take care of your body in season and out of season, so it helped a lot, and I have to thank him, and we're still working together."
The 26-year-old broke the record for the most consecutive games with over 100 yards rushing to start a season in his side's win over the New York Giants last week.
