The Denver Broncos are bracing themselves for a major groin injury to Montee Ball, according to a report in the press.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rappoport suggests that the team is expecting the knock to be serious, with Ball picking up the injury during Denver's win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
The Broncos will now give a starting chance to Ronnie Hillman, while the undrafted rookie Juwan Thompson and second-year runner CJ Anderson will serve as backup.
Denver have so far collected three wins and one defeat from four games this NFL campaign.
