Denver Broncos general manager John Elway believes that cornerback Bradley Roby will provide an immediate impact at the club in the 2014 season.
The Broncos selected Roby 31st overall in the 2014 Draft to improve their secondary following the departures of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Champ Bailey in the off-season.
Elway told the club's official website: "When we looked at the board, number one, he was the top guy on our board.
"When we talked about immediate help and a talented guy like that, he's the guy that would have the biggest impact on us. So that even made it more of a thrill for us that he was still there."
The 22-year-old signed his rookie deal on Tuesday to keep him at the club until at least the 2017 season.
