San Diego Chargers defensive end Dwight Freeney has admitted that he is looking forward to landing some hits on former Indianapolis Colts teammate Peyton Manning.
Freeney said that he was rarely allowed to tackle the quarterback in training and is looking forward to finally getting the chance when the Chargers take on the Denver Broncos in 2013.
"Playing with Peyton for 10 years, him sitting back in practice, he has that five-yard halo, you can't get within five yards of Peyton or they're screaming at you, 'saying oh, get away from our quarterback,'" Freeney told the Chargers' official website.
"So it's finally going to be a great opportunity for me coming up soon to put some hits on him. Might talk a little bit, too."
Freeney managed five sacks in 14 starts for the Colts last season.
