Denver Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer has conceded that it took him time to get up to speed with the club's offense.
The Broncos selected the 22-year-old in the second round of the 2014 Draft, but the wideout failed to make an impact in his rookie season after struggling to grasp the system under Peyton Manning.
"It took me too long to actually catch on," Latimer told The Denver Post. "I was in the playbook, but I could have done even more. When I actually got it, it was too late.
"It was just way different [than college]. I would know the play, then Peyton would change it. Then I'd get to thinking too much and play slower."
Latimer recorded just two receptions for 23 yards in his rookie season.
