Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball has reportedly been ruled out of his side's training camp following an appendectomy.
The 23-year-old was primed to be his side's starting running back for the 2014 season following the departure of Knowshon Moreno in the off-season.
His preparations have been halted due to the appendicitis which will rule him out of all his side's pre-season matches, but he should be fit in time for the regular-season opener, reports ESPN.
Ball ran for 559 yards and four touchdowns in his rookie season with the Broncos.
