Recently-released veteran cornerback Champ Bailey has worked out with the Detroit Lions.
Bailey was released by the New Orleans Saints, with the player's agent Jack Reale suggesting that he is still fit and looking to pursue a Hall of Fame-calibre finish to his career.
"Definitely, and he is fully healthy now," Reale told NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport about the player's chances of continuing in the game.
"He had a plantar problem, which is resolved, but he just missed too much time for the coach's evaluation to be complete and unfortunately in the last two games they didn't throw at him, so he couldn't show his stuff. He is fine."
Despite the workout going well, insiders do not expect a deal to be signed between the player and franchise immediately.
