Detroit Lions wide receiver Ryan Broyles says that recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament tear has been easier the second time around.

Ryan Broyles has revealed that he is finding his recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament tear easier the second time around.

The Detroit Lions wide receiver returned to full practice with the team last week, just six months after sustaining the injury.

The 25-year-old, who had already dealt with the same injury while in college, told the Detroit News: "I'm out there doing full practices right now so in a couple months I feel like I'll be pretty good.

"It was more sped up last time. I had to get ready for the combine. I was out there sprinting three-and-a-half months after surgery. This time around it's six months, and I'm going full go so I feel good about it.

"Last year I didn't know what to expect. Doctors will tell you things, but you don't really know how your body's going to react. This time around I know where I can push and where I can chill a little bit."

Broyles recorded 310 receiving yards and scored two touchdowns during his first season in the NFL.
