Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham has admitted that it is encouraging to have a fit Bill Bentley training ahead of the 2013 season.
Cunningham said that even when Bentley was injured, the cornerback was always watching and learning what was happening in order to be able to return knowing what he needed to do on the field.
"He was hurt and he was one of the few guys in my career that I've seen on the sidelines in practice every day studying and watching the whole organization," Cunningham told Islandpacket.com.
"During the offseason, it was the same thing. He's out here and he knows what he's doing."
Bentley started three games in his rookie season for the Lions last year.
