Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford reveals that there have been quite a few changes made to his side's offense under new head coach Jim Caldwell.

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has admitted that his side's offense will be different heading into the 2014 season.

The Lions changed their coaching staff at the end of the 2013 season following their failure to reach the playoffs.

Stafford has revealed that the players are enjoying learning a new system under new head coach Jim Caldwell.

He told reporters: "As far as plays go, a lot of teams have very similar plays, but it's dramatically different in terms of verbiage. You know, scheme. It's quite a bit different, but it's fun learning something new.

"It's a challenge for everybody in our locker room to learn it. I think guys are accepting that, having fun.

"[When] we do call a play and execute it well, it's fun to think about doing that 60, 70 times a game and seeing where we could go."

Stafford threw for 4,560 yards along with 29 touchdowns to 19 interceptions in the 2013 season.
