Desmond Bishop has confirmed that he is on track to return to the field with the Green Bay Packers in 2013.
The linebacker missed the entire 2012 season with a torn hamstring.
The 28-year-old told the Packers' website: "Definitely on track for sure. There's really no words that can describe it, I think you're just going to have to watch.
"Of course, I believe I could have helped impact the team [in 2012]. I always have thought that and always will.
"I think the new spread offense with a running quarterback is innovative and different, but defenses will evolve as well and figure out how to stop it, and then offenses are going to come up with something else. Just like a revolving door."
Bishop sustained the injury during a pre-season game against the San Diego Chargers, requiring surgery and five months of rehab to repair the damage.
The Packers' season ended last weekend with a loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
