The Green Bay Packers secure their fourth win of the 2015 NFL season with a 17-3 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

The Green Bay Packers have maintained their 100% start to the 2015 NFL season with a 17-3 win over the San Francisco 49ers at the Levi's Stadium.

The Packers opened the scoring in the first drive of the game as Randall Cobb hauled in a deep pass from Aaron Rodgers, before the quarterback targeted tight end Richard Rodgers at the back of the endzone for the touchdown.

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who threw four interceptions last weekend, was cautious of passing in the first quarter, preferring to run the ball where possible, but that left the home side without a score at the end of the opening 15 minutes.

Green Bay had the ball again early in the second quarter, but the offense was unable to get the yard needed for a first down, leaving the 49ers to get a field goal on the board a few plays later.

Eddie Lacy got the visiting side back into a strong position shortly before the interval, but Ahmad Brooks got to Rodgers to sack the quarterback, resulting in Mason Crosby being sent on for the field goal, but the Packers kicker could not split the uprights from 43 yards out.

The 49ers worked to try to slow Rodgers's passing ability in the third quarter, but the Packers were able to turn to their running game, leaving full-back John Kuhn to smash his way over for the visiting side's second touchdown of the night.

San Francisco were unable to create anything on their next drive, with Clay Matthews sacking Kaepernick to make sure the quarterback could not launch the ball to Anquan Boldin, who was waiting near the endzone.

Kaepernick was sacked again soon after, with Crosby having added three more points for the Packers, limiting the amount of time the 49ers' offense had on the field heading into the fourth quarter.

Neither side had any turnovers until the fourth quarter, when Kaepernick tried to connect with Boldin deep downfield, but the wide receiver had Sam Shields for company, and the safety got in front of him to make the interception.

Despite San Francisco's offensive struggles, the defense continued to make it difficult for Rodgers, with Aaron Lynch sacking him twice in quick succession to force a punt from the visitors.

Kaepernick finally made a big completion with he found Torrey Smith down the sideline for a 47-yard gain, but the wide receiver was unable to bring the ball down in the endzone two plays later, before the quarterback was sacked for a sixth time.

The Packers got the ball back with just a couple of minutes remaining, and were able to run the clock down to ensure that they moved on to a 4-0 start, while the 49ers slip to 1-3.
