Houston Texans running back Alfred Blue has backed Adrian Peterson to recover from his off-field problems and shine in the NFL next season.
Peterson was suspended by the league for the majority of the 2014 campaign after entering a no contest plea to a charge of causing reckless or negligent injury to his four-year-old son.
However, the 30-year-old was reinstated by the NFL earlier this week, and Blue – who has trained alongside Peterson over the course of the off-season – feels that the former MVP will show his worth when he returns to action in the 2015 campaign.
"AP, man," Blue told the Houston Chronicle. "There's only a few guys that you work out with that you can definitely tell got it. He's on a different level.
"You see it in his eyes: 'I'm going to show the world. When I get back out there, I'm going to break it this time.'"
Peterson has rushed for 10,190 yards and 86 touchdowns in his eight-year NFL career.
