Former South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has admitted that he is excited by the prospect of teaming up with JJ Watt if he is drafted by the Houston Texans.
Clowney is widely projected to be the number one overall pick in May's NFL Draft, and the 2-14 Texans have the first choice after a poor 2013 campaign.
Watt is currently one of the best defensive ends in the league, and Clowney thinks that they could be a formidable duo if they get the chance to play alongside each each other.
"I love Watt's game," Clowney told College Football 24/7. "He can help me, and I can help him, hopefully. I've watched his play, in situations he gets double teams, triple teams on him, too. That could help me be a bigger factor on that defense.
"I feel like I have a lot to offer a team. I've got the size, the ability, I'm a great teammate. I'm bringing a lot to help a team out, and I feel like I should be that guy, hopefully."
Clowney will participate in the NFL Scouting Combine later this month in the hope of impressing the Texans and being chosen by the franchise.
