Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing has revealed that he is starting to feel back to his best ahead of the 2015 season.
The 28-year-old's career has been blighted with injuries as he sustained a torn ACL in the 2012 season, while a broken fibula and an LCL injury ruled him out for the majority of the 2013 campaign.
Cushing played 14 matches for the Texans in the last campaign, but struggled to find his best form, although after an off-season of hard work, he now feels back to his peak level.
"It just feels really good to be getting my range back," Cushing told reporters. "I felt very limited last year, and just kind of my health, coverage, and a lot of things I couldn't do really on the field.
"Really feeling like myself again and kind of feeling like I can play anywhere on the field and make a play anywhere on the field. I'm getting, like I said, that range back and feeling very explosive and very happy about that."
Cushing recorded 72 tackles, one sack and one interception for the Texans last season.
