Houston Texans interim head coach Wade Phillips has said that he will analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the squad and make team selections based on them.
Phillips, who admitted that there was a lack of options at tight end, said that for now he would use more wide receivers while waiting for some of the tight ends to return.
"If you got real good receivers, use more of them," he told the club's official website. "If you've got real good tight ends, use those. It's just like we do on defense.
"I think you utilise the players you have and see what they can do. You analyse your team and say, 'Hey, this is our strength.
"This guy's a really good player; we have to get him into the game,' those kinds of things."
Phillips has been in temporary charge since Gary Kubiak was fired last week.
